Opening the Saint John Design Studio has been a dream of mine for many years. My design knowledge began in retail and “visual merchandising” in particular. In my younger days I traveled with Sears during the boom years when people were urged to come see the “softer side of Sears”. Our CEO at the time came from Sax Fifth Avenue and the company was at its height.
My knowledge and desire to grow more on the design side of the business led me back to school where I attended the Art Institute of Dallas for 3 1/2 years. My contacts at Sears then led me to New York City where I ended my Retail career with a contract in Manhattan with the Bombay Company. When my time was up with Bombay I finally moved on to work with Klasen and Associates on the Upper West Side. Here, under the tutelage of Nancy Klasen, I really gained my foundation for high-end residential interiors working with contractors, and subs and forming direct relationships with clients.
Now, after more than twelve years of business and having designed and managed showrooms for others, I am proud to say we have opened Byron Chandler Interiors Design Studio at The Fountains at St. John’s. We are right in the heart of where neighborhoods are sprouting up left and right and offer full affordable design services that include furniture sales, and kitchen and bath remodels using the latest in Cad rendering software. In addition, we believe we have curated an inspirational space that includes fine art and accessories, home fragrances, beautiful ready-made drapes, and bedding. Truly a one-stop shop to curate your own home with our incredibly talented staff and designers. Close to Beach Walk, Nocatee, Jax Golf and Country, Palm Valley, PVB, and a straight shot down 95 for our friends in Duval. We would love for you to drop by and see us and all we have to offer.
